Obituary of Leesa Walker Layton

Leesa Walker Layton, born in Anderson, Indiana in 1950 departed this earth on June 2nd.  Leesa is preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas Walker and Nancy Badgley Walker and her sister Lesle  Palmeri. She is  survived by her daughter, Stephanie Ray of Land O’ Lakes and three grandsons, Nolan, Braden, and Mason Ray and her nephew Patrick Palmeri. She lived in California, Alaska, and Miami, Florida before settling in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Leesa had many interests during her life including sailing, studying religions, scuba diving, playing the cello and traveling to Russia where she studied music. She also loved a good cookbook and exploring new cuisines and cooking techniques. She had lifelong friends and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
