Obituary of Susan James

Susan A. James, 96 of San Antonio, passed away June 3, 2020. She was born in Concord, North Carolina and was a long-time snowbird, moving to Florida permanently in 2016. Susan was the Office Manager of Simpson County Health Department in Kentucky, enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crocheting, needlepoint and loved animals. She was Presbyterian in faith. Susan is survived by her daughter, Suzanne James; 2 grandchildren, William “Bill” Long and Allison Long and 2 great-grandchildren, Madison and Shelby Long. She was predeceased by her husband, William Hammond “Bill” James in 1977. There will be no local services, however, there will be a graveside service held in Franklin, Kentucky where she will be buried with her late husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to AnimalNetworkInc.com (which is an animal rescue charity). The family has entrusted care and services to Loyless Funeral Home.
