Obituary of Julio Luis Garcia

Julio Luis Garcia, age 85, of Wesley Chapel, FL, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 24, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones. Julio was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on August 4, 1934 to Julio and Ramona (née Negron) and moved to New York when he was 18 years old, eventually settling in Wesley Chapel in 1988. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 until his honorable discharge in May, 1963. Julio was an avid Mets fan, lover of salty foods, dedicated employee of the Coca-Cola company, and devoted family man. He instantly brought joy to all who met him. Julio is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna (Eric) Ortiz, whom he spoke about everyday, and his sister Elsa Diaz. Julio is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie (née Nittoli), daughter Deborah (Howard) Tenzer, son Ronald Garcia, brother Sergio (Nery) Garcia, grandchildren Nicole (Jeffrey) Silpe, Jessica (Brian) Ambrosio, Kara Garcia, and Summer Garcia, great grandchildren Elijah and Nathan Silpe and many other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed.
