Obituary of Marjorie Elaine McKenzie

Marjorie Elaine McKenzie, Nee Samuels, was born in Hanover, Jamaica on February 14th 1941.  She was a devoted daughter who cared for her mother and father lovingly for many years.  Marjorie was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon and parents Lola and Alexander Samuels.

 

Marjorie attended Rusea’s High School in Lucea, Hanover, Jamaica.

 

Marjorie migrated to Wolverhampton, England in 1960.  Marjorie had a successful career in nursing for more the 40 years

 

She met and fell in love with Aaron McKenzie, the love of her life. They were married on October 21, 1961. From this union they had three cherished children Marcia, Howard and Sharon.  They enjoyed raising their family and Marjorie’s special joy was attending wrestling matches.

 

Marjorie and Aaron migrated to Long Island, New York in 1989.  They attended Huntington Seventh Day Adventist Church where Marjorie was baptized. Several years later, they retired to Land O’Lakes, Florida, to enjoy year round sunshine and the beautiful scenery.

 

Marjorie will be remembered for being kind, loving and generous. She loved gardening and was an excellent cook. She loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face.

 

Marjorie leaves to mourn her loving husband, Aaron, her children, Marcia and Howard; her beloved grandchildren Nathan, Colette, Allison and Allen; sisters, brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

This earth is now missing a truly wonderful person and heaven has gained an angel.  Marjorie will be sadly missed by all.
