Obituary of Rick Pierro

Richard “Rick” Pierro, 80 of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, passed away at his home, with his loving family by his side, Thursday, April 30, 2020. He was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, and relocated to the Tampa Bay area 14 years ago. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna; children, Steven Pierro, Stephanie Patton, Mark Joseph (Laura) Pierro, Jimmy Pullara and Jennifer (Pete) Sapountsis. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Jacqueline Pierro, Steven Pierro Jr., Jacob Pierro Kelsie Wiestling, Matthew Pierro, Alexis Pullara, Alyssa Sapountsis, and Adelyn Sapountsis, and seven greatgrandchildren, many nieces, nephews and special friends who looked up to him as a father figure. Rick retired from Lucent Technologies as a Quality Control Manager and was an honorably discharged Navy veteran. He enjoyed NASCAR, baseball, Indy car racing, The History Channel and anything military, and was always available and eager to help everyone fix whatever was broken. He was a man of many talents, and ended his political career as Mayor of Haverhill, Florida. Above all else, he was most proud of his children and his family. His services will be private.
