Obituary of Dr. Jorge Vazquez Sarti

Dr. Jorge Vazquez Sarti, "Papi Coco," 92 of Tampa, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2020. He was born in Oruro, Bolivia, and married Leonor “Nona” Avila in 1951. He later immigrated to the USA. He spent many years in Troy, Michigan, and moved to Florida in 2006. He is survived by his loving children: Jorge Luis and Ruby (deceased) and Catalina, Juan Jose and Constance, Edward and Maria Silvana Apol, Peter Humberto and Consuelo, and Andres Antonio and Pamela; 16 wonderful grandchildren: Erick Apol, John Vazquez, David Apol, Jorgito Vazquez, Peter Vazquez Jr, Roberto Vazquez, Elissa Vazquez, JJ Vazquez, Erik Valdez Vazquez, Joel Apol, Sara Vazquez, Nonis Vazquez, Kiera Vazquez, Vic Bradley, Tiara Vazquez Valdez, and Luis Vazquez; plus 10 beautiful great-grandchildren. Papi Coco was predeceased by his wife, Leonor “Nona” in 2002 and his youngest son, Rene Armando in 2003. He was of the Catholic faith, a miner, an attorney, and a CFO. He enjoyed playing tennis, soccer, swimming, chess, playing cacho, and having a glass of fine red wine every night. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 from 2-4 pm at Loyless Funeral Home. Digital viewing will also be streamed. Papi Coco was an incredible leader of the family, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and teacher. He was unbelievably disciplined, honest, and principled. He loved to laugh and tell great stories. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.

El Dr. Jorge Vazquez Sarti, "Papi Coco," de 92 años de edad  de Tampa, Florida, falleció repentinamente el 23 de Abril de 2020. Nació en Oruro, Bolivia, contrajo matrimonio con Leonor “Nona” Avila in 1951.  

Ejerció su profesión como abogado por muchos años en Bolivia. Años más tarde emigró a los EEUU a ejercer su profesión. Vivió en Troy, Michigan por varios años en compañía de su  numerosa y querida familia. Se jubiló en 2006 y se trasladó a Tampa Florida.

Sus hijos Jorge Luis “Coco,” Juan José “Mitty” Maria Silvana, Peter Humberto, Andres Antonio “Toni” y René Armando (QEPD); Hijas políticas, Ruby, Catalina,  Constance, Consuelo y Pamela: Hijo político Edward; hermana María Luisa Vazquez de Sempertegui (QEPD): sus nietos Erick, John, David, Jorgito, Peter Jr, Beto, Elissa, JJ, Erik, Joel, Sara, Nonis, Tiara, Kiera,Vic, y Luis; y diez queridos bisnietos. 

Los invitan a orar por él, tendrá una ceremonia para celebrar su vida este Sábado, Mayo 2, 2020 a las 2pm en La funeraria Loyless en Tampa, Florida. Compartiremos dicha ceremonia vía Youtube. Papi Coco en vida fue un gran padre, esposo y abuelo, siempre muy justo, cariñoso y muy trabajador, también fue un gran jugador de tenis, fútbol y disfrutaba jugando ajedrez con sus hijos,nietos y bisnietos. Lo extrañaremos siempre. Su ejemplo nos ayudó a aprender a ser personas de bien. GRACIAS QUERIDO PAPI COCO! QEPD en la gloria de Nuestro Padre Celestial.
