Obituary of Patrick Daniel Sprowell

SPROWELL, Patrick Daniel, 70, of Land  O’ Lakes, Florida, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in the care of hospice.

He was born in Rochester, New York on June  8, 1949 to William  J. Sprowell and Christine  A. (Allen) Sprowell  who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother Michael (Barbara) Sprowell of Rochester, NY and a sister, Marilyn (Eric) Pfendler of Alder Creek, NY.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ursula (Krause) Sprowell of Land O Lakes, FL and a son, Nathan (Karla) Sprowell, and two granddaughters, Mila and Skye Sprowell of Odessa FL. He is also survived by Sonja (William) Sprowell, step-mother and  two brothers, William 'Duke' (Royanne)  Sprowell of Forestport, NY and Kristopher (Tracy) Sprowell of Boonville, NY. Additionally he is survived by Henry 'Hank' (Barbara) Krause, Hutchinson, KS, Rudy (Jamie) Krause, and Arthur (Bette) Krause, Colorado Springs, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam conflict and was later assigned to the 376^th Combat Support Hospital in Malone, NY where he served until he was medically retired as  Captain.

Patrick was a member of the Forestport, NY Fire Department and later the Moira, NY Fire Department in a medical capacity. 

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and making maple syrup at his home in Brushton, NY.

His greatest joy was moving to FL in 2016 to be 'Opa' to Mila and Skye. He was able to make many  memories with his beautiful babies.

His final resting place will be at the Alder Creek Cemetery in Alder Creek, NY at a future date.
