Obituary of Linda Ann DiPiazza

DiPiazza, Linda Ann, 70, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away October 16, 2019. She was born and raised in Utica, New York and moved to Florida in January of 1980. She was Catholic in Faith and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Linda loved watching sports including Nascar, baseball (Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees), as well as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She also enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives, along with playing backgammon and scrabble with her family.  But most of all, she loved being there for her girls and PaPa Art. In retirement, she cared for her youngest grandson, Caleb, who gave her the nickname “Ma” that she treasured. Lastly, Linda loved to cook her famous lasagna and garlic bread for her family. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Norma England; father, Ernie Derminio; five aunts, Pauline Wojnicz, Anna Wojnicz, Marie (Virgie) Derminio, Antoinette (Toni) Perrotta, Angeline Leone; and four uncles, Ted Wojnicz, Frank Derminio, Dominick (Dick) Derminio, and Raymond Derminio. She is survived by her significant other of 10 years, Art; daughter, Lisa and Matt Nixon and their children, Jacob and Tyler Nixon; daughter, Toni and John Brown, and their children Peyton and Kylee Brown; daughter, Diana Papaj and her significant other, Derek Douglas, and their children, Olivia and Caleb Papaj, and Jaden and Damon Douglas; and daughter, Michelle and Dave Galasso, and their children, Nicholas and Adrianna Galasso; and step-mother and close friend, Marlene Derminio. Linda will be remembered for her welcoming and loving ways and especially for her devotion to her family and friends. She will be dearly missed. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm followed by a Wake Service at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Loyless Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes, Florida with interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
