Obituary of Scott Anthony Ewers

Scott Anthony Ewers, 55, of Lutz, Florida passed away June 24, 2019. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and moved to Florida from Upper Michigan in 2006. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a Registered Nurse for a Florida VA Clinic at the time of his passing. He constantly provided support to his sons, Nicholas and Nathan in Boy Scouting, and helped them to both achieve the highest honor of Eagle Scout. He took immense pride in seeing his daughter graduate from the University of South Florida, and both his sons graduate from Land O’ Lakes High School. He laid the foundation for his daughter and sons to achieve the ability to reach higher education. He was always present at sporting events. He was able to see his son participate at the World Odyssey of the Mind Competition, an achievement that made him feel beyond proud and filled with happiness.  He attended all of his daughter’s acting performances, and provided mentorship as a coach on her basketball team from a young age.  Scott was an avid car enthusiast, always working toward or for his next project or goal. He had a passion for hunting, Star Trek, and his family above all.  Everybody knew when Scott was in town because he was the glue that brought and held everybody together. He is preceded in death by his Grandma Rapone; his Aunt Duke; and his Cousin Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tammy Ewers; sons, Nicholas and Nathan Ewers; daughter, Erica Ewers; mother, Elizabeth Hoyt; father, William Ewers Jr.; and sisters, Renee Ewers and Kim Coy.  In lieu of flowers, please submit donations to a Veterans Non-Profit Organization of your choice.
