Obituary of Mark Anthony Spiker

SPIKER, Mark Anthony, 68, of Wesley Chapel, Florida sadly lost his battle with Parkinson’s disease on May 16, 2019. He was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and moved to Florida from Ohio in 1977. Mark worked as a financial advisor. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, golfing, swimming and traveling. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and especially, his beloved grandchildren. Mark is fondly remembered for having the best sense of humor and his ability to make light of any situation. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a great friend to everyone he met. He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Spiker; and his brother, Alan Spiker. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cheri Spiker; sons, Eric Petersen, and Jeff Spiker; daughter, Megan Bell and her husband, Matt; mother, Frances Spiker; his brothers, Eugene J. Jr and his wife, Rose Spiker, Morgan and his wife, Pat Spiker, and Tim and his wife, Lisa Spiker; sister, Julia and her husband, Sunil Ahuja; 5 grandchildren, Aiden and Skyler Bosch, Leland Spiker, Ember Petersen, and Hunter Bell; brother and sister in laws; Jim and Lyn Page, Byron and Onalee Bachman; and dearest friend, Marcia Leathers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Gulfside Hospice of Zephyrhills, Florida.
