Obituary of Melvin Goodman

GOODMAN, Melvin Lee, 79, of Land O’Lakes, Florida passed away Sunday March 3, 2019. He was born in Coles County, Illinois and moved to Florida in 2009. Melvin loved his family as well as his country. He proudly served in the United States Army, was a proud member of Teamsters, and previously worked for ABF and Smith Transfer. He is preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Goodman; and brothers in law, Don Porter, and Jim Ryan. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Darlene; daughters, Cyndia Walker and her husband, Mark, Gynnifer Burnett and her husband, Dave; sister, Diane Porter; sisters in law, Kaye Ryan, Rita Goodman; grandchildren, Kaylee Walker and her wife, Kaila, Brentyn Burnett, Cydne Burnett; great granddaughter, Aria Walker; many loving nieces and nephews; and many other family members of the heart.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 6:30pm - 8:00pm on March 14, 2019 at the South Pasco Predators Football and Cheer Field off Collier Parkway in Land O'Lakes, Florida. The family asks that all attendees wear their favorite Predator gear. A second Celebration of Life will take place from 3:00pm - 6:00pm on March 23, 2019 at the Jewett Community Church in Jewett, Illinois.
