Obituary of Juan Sergio Cofiño

COFIÑO, Juan Sergio, 81, of Wesley Chapel, Florida passed away February 14, 2019. He was born in Havana, Cuba on July 31, 1937, immigrated to the United States on September 11, 1961, was Catholic in faith, and attended Church at St. Leo Abbey. He also attended Holy Cross High School in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Havana University College of Commerce. Juan was an avid golfer and a past board member of his community. He had a positive outlook on life, a very outgoing personality and could put a smile on anyone’s face. Juan is preceded in death by his parents; and his two brothers, Armando Cofiño, and Rogelio Cofiño. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Maria Cofiño; sons, Juan (Jeannette) Cofiño, Jorge (Christina) Cofiño; grandchildren, Jonathan Cofiño, Nicole (Andrew) Fish, Christopher Cofiño, Marrisa (Robert) Teracciano; Grace Cofiño; 3 great grandchildren with one on the way, and many loving cousins.
