Paul,
I am deeply saddened to learn about your passing. I feel that no words I can say or write will ease your family's grief. I write this in your memory with hope that our spirits meet again.
We grew as a team in high school through the NJROTC program, so many years ago although I remember much of our work together as if it were yesterday. I will remember you as having a terrific sense of humor and being an outstanding and focused student and achiever. I remember you as having remarkable self-discipline, and as I recall, you were a dedicated musician as well. I-- and anyone that knew you then--could see that you were a very well-rounded person and that your path to success in life was certain. I cannot seem to forget the "brand new sunglasses incident", but it made a lasting impression on my memory of you.
By your Senior Year at Gulf HS, you had your whole life ahead of you, and at the time of your passing your best years were surely still ahead. It is humbling to read about your family legacy and your exemplary service to this country. It is saddening still to think we just missed meeting each other during our assignments at CENTCOM HQ, perhaps just a small reunion that could have been very pleasant.
From our experiences together and learning about you from the tributes by your colleagues and loved ones, I will always appreciate and remember you, Paul. I wish you eternal peace, and your loved ones lifelong strength and remembrance.
Larry

I’m so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. I went to Elementary, jr high and high school with him. He was always a super nice guy. I even had his mom as a teacher.
My sincere condolences to the family.

We are shocked and so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. We have many good memories of our times with the Loechelt family when they lived here in Dayton. We also enjoyed our times visiting them in Florida. Paul was a great father and husband and was such a nice person. My heart goes out to Tina and the children.

My condolences to the Loechelt family. Paul and I worked together at US Central Command in the J2X Division. He was a quiet, gentle person. I never heard him express a harsh word or statement toward any person. As a retired Air Force member, he and I shared a few laughs and thoughts about the Air Force. May GOD bless his soul.

I am so, so sorry to hear about Paul's passing and for your loss, Tina, and Sami and Nate and Gabe. Thinking of you and remembering fun times, from meeting in Texas to reuniting in Ohio. Life is so precious and I can only imagine how hard this time is for you. I am praying for comfort and strength and endurance for you in these days and weeks ahead. Much love - your friend, Jolyn.
