Obituary of Dorothy V. Lane

Lane, Dorothy Virginia, (“Pee Wee” Wiggins) 85, of Lutz, FL passed away at 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Melech Hospice House in Tampa. Dorothy was born February 22, 1924 to Paul and Beulah Wiggins and raised in Mullins, SC and attended college in Columbia, SC. She was a supervisor in the Market Research industry for over 30 years. She will always be remembered for her kind and sweet demeanor, her gentle spirit, her strength and courage and the deep love she had for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Wayron F. Lane in 1975 and her sister Gathel Monk. She is survived by her sons, Fred and wife, Beth and David; her daughters, Carole LaMura and husband Joseph; and Cathy VanEyk; her sister, Leonora Keaton; grandchildren: Aaron Lane; Barbie Boswell, Kristen Wyman, Lauren LaMura, Heather Lane and Michelle Lane; nephew, Mike Frazier. Mom, you held us for a while in your arms, then gently let us go to experience the world on our own, but you never let us go in your heart, you always held us close, and for that we are eternally grateful. Words cannot express how much we will miss you. We cherish all the moments we shared and will think of you every day…your loving children.
